What a curriculum does, and what Omega does

A curriculum is the material. Omega is the assistant around it.

A curriculum

  • Supplies the content: the books, the scope, and the sequence.
  • Sets what a child studies, and in what order.
  • Is the material you already teach from.

Omega

  • Stores those materials in a curriculum library: books, platforms, videos, courses, worksheets, and assessments.
  • Builds a daily plan for each child from grade, subjects, interests, and the resources you listed.
  • Runs a lesson in five phases: Introduction, Learning, Practice, Quiz, and Complete.
  • Turns completed work into attendance, subject hours, and a portfolio you can export as a PDF.

Keep the curriculum you already use

You do not have to drop what you bought or built. Add the resources you already use. A resource can belong to the whole family or to one child, so a mixed shelf is fine: one math program, living books for reading, a co-op science class.

Plans and lessons draw on that library when a resource fits the day. Grades run from Pre-K through 12th. Add each child you teach.

Set one teaching approach for the family. Lessons and Ask Omega follow it. The approaches are Classical, Montessori, Charlotte Mason, Unschooling, Traditional, Eclectic, Unit Studies, and Waldorf. Choose Eclectic when you mix methods by child or by subject.

Plan, teach, and prove

Three jobs you already do. Omega keeps them on one record.

Plan the week

A daily plan lists activities for each child: the subject, what to do, and how long. It uses your curriculum library when you have filled one in. Regenerate the plan when the day changes. If a topic is due for review, the plan can include a short review activity.

Teach the day

Open a lesson from an activity. It moves through Introduction, Learning, Practice, Quiz, and Complete. Share the lesson link when a child should work through it. You stay the teacher.

Prove the record

Completed activities are the log. From that log Omega builds attendance, subject hours, and portfolio highlights such as notes and photos you attach. Export an attendance or portfolio report as a PDF. Confirm your own state rules before you submit.

Do I have to switch curriculum?
No. Omega does not replace your curriculum. Keep the books, courses, and schedule you already use. Add them to the curriculum library, then plan and teach from there.
Does it work with mixed or eclectic approaches?
Yes. The library can hold several resources, including a different set for each child. Set the family approach to Eclectic when you mix methods by child or by subject. The other approaches are Classical, Montessori, Charlotte Mason, Unschooling, Traditional, Unit Studies, and Waldorf. Lessons and Ask Omega follow the approach you set.
What does it cost?
Free during early access. No credit card. When paid plans launch, the Family plan will be $150/month. Early adopters can lock $99/month.
