Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Omega School (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Omega Foundation (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. The Service is intended to support parental oversight of children's education. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use magic-link authentication — keep your email account secure. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • Not share your account with people outside your immediate family.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and billing

Omega School is a subscription service. After a free trial (currently unlimited during early access), continued access requires a paid subscription at the current monthly rate.

  • Trial: Free, no credit card required (currently unlimited during early access). All features accessible during trial.
  • Billing: Monthly subscription billed through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime from Settings. You retain access through the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.
  • Price changes: We will provide 30 days' notice of any price increases via email.
  • Refunds: We offer refunds at our discretion. Contact hello@omega.foundation within 7 days of a charge if you have an issue.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or subscription enforcement.
  • Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, hateful, or inappropriate for children.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate use of the Service beyond normal family use.
  • Share account access with individuals outside your household.
  • Misrepresent your identity or family situation.

6. AI-generated content

The Service generates lesson plans, daily schedules, and educational content using AI. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is for educational support only and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
  • You, as the parent or guardian, are responsible for reviewing and supervising your children's education.
  • AI-generated compliance reports are provided as a convenience tool and should not substitute for consultation with a qualified educational attorney or advisor regarding your state's requirements.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content meets any specific curriculum standard or regulatory requirement.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service (notes, observations, uploaded resources). You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your family's educational data.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its interface, design, system prompts, and underlying software, is owned by Omega Foundation and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OMEGA FOUNDATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and requesting data deletion. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion to allow for any disputes, then permanently deleted.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under AAA rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
